Hostel Rules & Regulations
To ensure a safe, disciplined, and pleasant living environment in the School Hostel, certain ground rules have been established.
Nosegay expects all Inhabitants of the School Hostel to set examples of good behavior, etiquette, and ethics. Therefore, all Hostellers must adhere to the following rules:
General Discipline
Timetable: All students and staff members must strictly follow the Hostel Schedule and Timetable, including Evening Study Classes.
Respect for Others: Everyone is expected to treat fellow students, staff, and guests with respect and courtesy.
Discrimination, harassment, ragging, bullying, or misconduct will not be tolerated.
Violations may lead to penalties, suspension, or expulsion from the Hostel/School.
Noise and Quiet Hours: Students must maintain silence during study hours and sleeping hours. Excessive noise or disturbance is strictly prohibited.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
Living Spaces: Students must keep their rooms neat, tidy, and orderly.
Common Areas: Shared spaces must remain clean and well-maintained. Any misuse or damage should be reported immediately.
Maintenance Issues: All repair or maintenance requirements must be promptly reported to the concerned authorities.
Property & Safety
Respect for Property: Any destruction or vandalism of School/Hostel property is prohibited. Offenders will be fined (deducted from the security deposit) or face stricter action.
Personal Belongings: The School is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items. Valuables should be securely locked and not left in common areas.
Hostel Mess & Food
Mess Areas: Students are prohibited from entering the kitchen or restricted mess areas to maintain hygiene and respect staff privacy.
Meal Consumption: Meals must be taken only in the designated dining hall. Carrying food to rooms is strictly prohibited to ensure hygiene and to encourage social interaction.
Prohibited Items & Activities
Substances: Possession or consumption of intoxicants is strictly forbidden. Violation may result in suspension or expulsion.
Restricted Items: The following are strictly prohibited in hostel rooms:
Sharp devices
Mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, and laptops
Electric kettles, induction plates, irons, or similar appliances
Students found in possession of these items will face penalties.
Health & Well-being
Medical Issues: Any health problem must be reported immediately to the hostel authorities for appropriate care or referral.
Internet & Technology
Responsible Use: The internet and digital devices must be used strictly for academic purposes. The Hostel Warden and Proctor will supervise computer use.
Outings & Visitors
Outpass: Students wishing to leave the campus with parents/guardians must obtain an Outpass and prior written permission, stating the reason and duration of leave.
Visitors: All visitors, including Parents/Guardians, must register in the Visitorโs Book at the Hostel entrance. No visitor is allowed to stay overnight in the Hostel.
Disciplinary Action
Failure to comply with the above rules may result in:
Verbal or written warnings
Penalty charges or fine deductions
Suspension of hostel privileges
Expulsion from Hostel/School or both
The School Administration reserves the right to take any disciplinary action deemed necessary.
